Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council
Learn. Lead. Serve.

Founded in 1984, the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council provides educational and networking resources to gift planning and allied professionals to promote charitable gift planning. We envision a community where every individual leaves a legacy through philanthropic estate gifts.

The Council meets regularly to discuss issues and trends in the area of charitable gift planning, and is affiliated with the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.

The Pittsburgh Promise rose rapidly from a grassroots nonprofit to a major influence for kids and seniors. Bringing together foundations, corporations, government and some celebrity power, they have given nearly 12,000 scholarships worth $174 million to local public school graduates attending 151 institutions of higher learning. Hear the formative lessons that shape The Pittsburgh Promise today and are reshaping its future—without scholarships. The presenters will demonstrate the relevance of local voices to the hard and critical work of fundraising and social change.

Please join us on Tuesday May 14, 2024 as Saleem Ghubril & Chan-Elle Vassell of the The Pittsburgh Promise present "Promises Made, Promises Kept, and a Promising Future."
